We've had
nothing but rave reviews from participants and attendees alike, so
we're going to do it again. So the NCWV Scottish Heritage
Society's THIRD ANNUAL SCOTTISH FESTIVAL & CELTIC GATHERING
will be held Friday through Sunday, April 30-May 2, 2004. A CEILIDH
on Friday night will precede Saturday's activities which include an EUSPBA
sanctioned solo bag piping competition....Sanctioned Heavy
Athletics Competition...Scottish Country Dancing.....Sanctioned Highland
Dancing Competition... Handbells....
Heritage Musicians.....Living History
Presentation..... ....Highland Dancing....Puppets....Bagpipe
Bands....Scottish Vendors...Food .. ..Genealogy Society and
Clan Representatives....Scottish Breed Dog Exhibit....Herding
Demonstrations....Spinning Exhibit....Shetland Sheep and Highland
Cattle....A CONCERT on Saturday night by IONA, a high
energy Celtic band from the Washington DC area, and on Sunday a special Scottish Heritage Church Service
and Celebration......A special addition to the main stage performers
will be former National Scottish Fiddling Champion, Elke Baker and
her partner, Ken Kolodner....a unique event for this area and one worth
marking your calendar for.
